OurKidz School
At OurKidz School, we analyse factors influencing parental decisions by assessing school reputation, locations, programs and affordability. Our goal was to create a seamless, comprehensive, and intuitive platform to simplify the school search process.
Research
To understand our users needs, we conducted surveys, interviews and a competitive analysis to search for existing school search applications. We aim to provide institutions and customers with insights to better serve families and communities, bridging research for a positive change in education.
Ideation
Brainstorming sessions led to initial sketches and wireframes, focusing on intuitive navigation and user-friendly interfaces. Iterative prototyping and usability testing refined the design, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
Prototyping
Prototyping for the School Search App involved transforming initial wireframes into high-fidelity interactive prototypes using Figma. These prototypes showcased the app’s key functionalities, such as advanced search filters, interactive maps, and virtual tours. Usability testing was conducted with a diverse group of users to gather feedback on navigation and user experience.
Final Design
Through iterative prototyping and usability testing, the app was refined to meet the specific needs of parents and students. The intuitive interface and personalized recommendation system enhance the overall user experience, making the school search process efficient and engaging.
Results & Reflection
The project highlighted the importance of user-centered design and iterative testing. User feedback was crucial in refining the app, leading to a more intuitive and efficient tool. The positive impact on key metrics validated the design approach and emphasized the value of addressing user needs directly.
